Mom & Me Our Story
As the youngest of three, I never envisioned myself as the primary navigator of my mother's journey at this stage of our lives. Yet, here I am, a member of the so-called "sandwich generation," balancing the demands of raising my teenager, supporting my older husband and the unexpected responsibility of caring for my elderly mom. This new chapter began abruptly in early 2024 with the passing of her husband, who was not my father, propelling me into a role I hadn't anticipated but have grasped wholeheartedly.

Since this website's launch, Mom has experienced two falls, and frankly, the combination of her recovery and the deeply traumatic aftermath of Hurricane Helene in our area completely overwhelmed me, making it difficult to find the time to update the site.
